Custom Laws
What it is:
Indonesia has a complex system of customs restrictions and regulations that are governed by the government’s central customs administrative body The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE). As a member of the World Customs Organization (WCO) and World Trade Organization (WTO) Indonesia has agreed to adopt a customs calculation hierarchy and harmonized system for tariff calculation which commits it to maintaining tariff rates at specified levels. Customs Law deals with the day-to-day processes which govern these levels and works to resolve issues related to customs facilities, valuation, classification and permits.
