On July 7, 2015, Ukraine Interdepartmental Commission of Foreign Trade initiated a safeguard investigation on imported flexible porous plates, blocks and sheets of polyurethane foams classified under Ukrainian Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Classification (UKTZED) codes 3921.13.10.19, pursuant to an application from Interform LLC; Interform-Dnipro LLC; Interform-West LLC and Interform-M LLC.

The Commission had found sufficient evidences that imports of the subject product to Ukraine could cause significant harm to its national producers because of significant increase of imports which were significantly lower in price compared to the Applicant’s, that forced the Applicant to reduce prices and sales of goods in the domestic market.

Within 30 days from the notice publication the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine will carry out registration of interested parties and considers the requirements for conducting of hearings, and within 45 days from the notice publication the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine will consider the written comments on the initiation of investigation.
