On January 20, 2012, the Indonesian Safeguard Committee (KPPI) initiated Safeguard Investigation on Imports of Finished Casing and Tubing with a yield strength of more than 75,000 Psi of which edges have been refined classified under the Harmonized System (HS) number 7304.29.00.90.

The safeguard investigation is based on a petition made by the Association of Oil and Gas Pipe Manufacturers (APROPIPE) on behalf of PT. Citra Tubindo Tbk. claiming serious injury or threat thereof caused by surge of imports. Interested parties are invited to make submissions to KPPI.
