Panel Establishment For Anti Dumping Measures By European Union On Imports of Certain Fatty Alcohols From Indonesia

On 27 July 2012, Indonesia requested consultations with the European Union with respect to the imposition of definitive and provisional anti-dumping measures by the European Union on the importation of fatty alcohols and their blends originating from India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Indonesia claims that the measures by EU are inconsistent with:

  • Articles 1, 2.3, 2.4, 2.6, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 4.1, 5.8, 6.7, 6.9, 9.2, 9.4, 18 of the Anti?Dumping Agreement; and
  • Articles VI and X:3(a) of the GATT 1994.

Request for the establishment of a panel was submitted by Indonesia on 1 May 2013 and the panel was established on 25 June 2013.

India, Korea and the United States reserved their third-party rights to participate in the panel's proceedings.
