On July 10, 2019 Madagascar terminates its safeguard investigation against imported spaghetti and macaroni pasta made from flour, durum wheat semolina or mixed wheat entering Madagascar under the HS codes of 1902 1990, i.e., "Pasta without eggs, uncooked, stuffed or otherwise prepared" and 1902 3090. i.e., "Other pasta".

The investigating authority decided to close the investigation after the withdrawal of the petition by the requesting domestic producer.
