Initiation of Anti-Dumping Investigation Concerning Imports of “Ammonium Nitrate” Exported from Russia, Indonesia, Georgia and Iran

On 5 August 2016, Indian Directorate General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties initiated an antidumping investigation on imported Ammonium Nitrate from Russia, Indonesia, Georgia and Iran based on application filed by Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited and Smartchem Technologies Limited.

 

The Products Under Investigation is a chemical compound with the formula NH4NO3.  Ammonium Nitrate is produced from ammonia and nitric acid, in various forms. It is classified under the sub heading 3102 30 00 00.

 

The authority has determined the period of investigation as 1st April, 2015 to 31st March 2015 but the injury investigation period will cover the data of the previous three years.

 

Based on Indonesia Statistic Agency data, the export volume of Ammonium Nitratefrom Indonesia in 2013 - 2015 were 0 MT; 0 MT and 15,001 MT respectively.

 

Any information relating to this investigation should be sent in writing no later than 40 days from the date of publication of the authority notification. Thus, all interested parties are advised to intimate their interest and file their questionnaire and offer their comment to the domestic industry’s petition within 40 days from the date of initiation of this investigation.
