On Friday August 24, 2012, The Indonesian Safeguard Committee (KPPI) initiated a safeguard investigation on imports of wheat flour classified under H.S. Code 1101.00.10. The initiation is based on the petition made by the Indonesian Wheat Flour Producers Association (APTINDO) submitted on August 13, 2012 substantiating the existence of prima facie evidence of increase in imports and serious injury or threat thereof suffered by the domestic producers. All interested parties are given the opportunity to submit written submissions for the investigation to KPPI.
