On 22 June 2015, Brazil initiates new antidumping investigation on pet resin on polyethylene terephthalate, also known as PET resin, with intrinsic viscosity between 0.7 and 0.88 dl/g, chemically classified as a thermoplastic polyester polymer, currently classified under NCM 3907.60.00 originating in India, Indonesia, Taiwan, and China.
The petitioner to this case is M&G Polímeros Brasil S.A. Exporters and Importers have 30 days (or 60 days with extension) from the initiation date to request their participation in the investigation, and other interested parties (i.e., consumers, associations, etc.) have a period of 20 days from the initiation date to request their participation in the investigation.
Based on the petition submitted by M&G Polímeros Brasil S.A., estimated dumping margin from Indonesia is 177,25 US$/t (12,5%).
